ABOUT ME

I am originally from Colombia, South America. I was born there and lived in the country for eight years before moving to the U.S with my family. Moving to a new country and experiencing a new culture was difficult but i learned a plethora of new knowledge and gained fantastic opportunities that would not have been available to me in Colombia. Coming from a different country you learn to view life in a new way, certainly there are aspects of it that you don't take for granted. Back in Colombia it would cost thousands of dollars to see the sea, here in St. Johns County I'm 30 minute away to some of the most spectacular beaches in Florida. I also love learning about new cultures and traditions. One of my great passions is history, something which has helped me in my pursuit of architecture and art. In life I want to do work that matters. Something that when you take a step back, you can see your dedication and effort and be proud of. I'm always looking to do assignments to the best of my ability, and rather than looking at life as another to task to complete, I believe that every new project is an opportunity to flourish, challenge the boundaries you place on yourself, and help mold you into a better human being.
My Passions
Travel
The world is such an immense place that it is easy to think of other people as separate groups, irrelevant to our purposes. But, when you step back and contemplate the fact that in a universe that's billions upon billions of light years in size, our 7.5 billion human species suddenly seem extremely small. Its interesting to me to see how we develop as groups and how those skills can help us solve larger more pressing issues such as Global Warming, overcrowding, and renewable energy. Our greatest strength is in our diversity of thought, thus understanding each others thoughts, and cultures is the first step to providing a stable future and happy generations. In circumspect, studying our differences, through travel and interaction, can help bring us together as a species.

My Experience
The Design Academy at Bartram Trail High School has aided in my intellectual development greatly. Through various projects I have been able to explore more about the art that is architecture. Some of these include perspective, Lego models, and foam core models. Through and interactive and fun work environment I have also furthered personal relationships such as my two best friends Catherine Conover, and Jeffrey Proud. This class has also taught me how to present my ideas in a thoughtful concise manner, yet also convey the meaning behind a concept.
